I received an email from Alejandro today asking what hop-ups I'd recommend and thought I'd share my answer with all of you.
I'm not including any items that I don't stock in the shop such as the 7075rc parts that we all know are required...just the items that I sell.
As for Hop-Ups from my store, I'd start with a Hitec HS-5755MG steering servo if you haven't already replaced yours. The stock steering servo may never give you a problem but for peace of mind, I'd replace it anyway. There's nothing worse than gearing up for a day of bashing or racing only to have it cut short by a failed servo.
After that, I've been really happy with the upgraded shock towers (710004, 71005), front and rear chassis braces (077002, 077003) and the Front Upper Top Plate (710003)
I would not recommend the following:
Aluminum Upper Suspension arms. If you change your upper arms from plastic to aluminum, the turnbuckles will break. If you really want to change your upper arms to aluminum, you should also change the turnbuckles to titanium.
Steering Bellcrank. Okay, the only reason I'm saying this is that we've had a couple of experiences with poor fit and finish on this part. You may get one that is perfect or you may not...it's a crap shoot and the stock piece works as well as the aluminum so why take the risk?
077004 Upper Chassis Plate. This piece looks good, is lighter than the stock one but is not strong enough to stand up to heaving bashing. If you run on-road or simply don't bash your XBE as hard as I do, this piece may work for you.
Aluminum lower suspension arms are available but I haven't added them to the site yet. Personally, I wouldn't recommend any aluminum suspension pieces unless you primarily run on the road.
