I received an email from Justin a couple of days ago and it sounds like he has big plans for modding an XBE!

Can you guys add your two cents to Justin's questions by clicking on "Add Comment" below...I know some of you guys will have some good advice for Justin as well.

Question:  "How long do the batteries last in this thing? i see it takes two 3s, but i want to run at least two 4s, probably two 6s if it can handle that. maybe more if possible. i currently run a 6s on my short course with a castle monster 2200 and a a mamba monster esc (i fried a mamba pro already). i see on your web site you said the servo may not last long, what is the best servo you can get? is the castle 1/5 scale motor and esc better than the stock red cat? i want this thing to be rediculous!

Answers:
Run Time:
I've never official timed my runs but I usually get somewhere around 15 minutes or so
4s, 6s:  Nope.  3s only on the stock ESC
Best Servo:  Any brand name large scale servo will work.  I really like my Hitec HS 5755MG

thanks for the info. i guess in stock form it will not handle what i want it to do. i can afford to do the esc upgrade when i initially purchase the vehicle but would have to wait on motor mods. i currently have a 1/8 scale short coarse truck that i love but i want something bigger. the rampage xsc 30cc two stroke might be more what i am looking for. does anyone know if they are having any issues with that truck? It is so much cheaper than the competitors i am kinda wondering. most of the other gas 1/5 scale trucks are well over a grand. priced so cheap i would have plenty of room for mods if necessary but i tend to be a little hard on my stuff so durability is important.

Hey Justin.
I didn't notice your comment, thanks for it and sorry to take so long to respond.

The XSC shares 99% of its parts with the XB and the XT and many of it's parts with the XBE so it shares some of the common "issues". You'll likely end up replacing all of the hubs with 7075rc units and the rear diff case cracks once in a while due to chassis flex but that's pretty much it.

Body wise, see if you can find a Asguard or Graffil

i was also wondering if any 1/5 scale body would work on the rampage short course truck and would it be wise to cut out the windows to get some air flow to the engine?.....i wish i could afford the xsc and the xbe, they both look awesome
