UPDATE: I have created a new website at www.RCRHobbies.com
where I'll be selling the small scale Redcat Vehicles and parts including the Terremoto
Redcat Racing recently announced another addition to their product line. It's a 1/8 scale brushless, 4x4 monster truck called the Terremoto. Initially I thought it was simply an Earthquake 8e with larger tires but now that I see the pictures, it looks like an entirely new platform. Check it out:
I haven't decided yet whether or not I'll offer the Terremoto for sale through RampageShop.com but I have ordered one for myself to test.
The Terremoto appears to have long suspension travel to soak up the bumps
The chassis layout looks clean and all electronics are protected with plastic covers
The Terremoto is equipped with dual, 15kg waterproof steering servos
Here's a look under the Terremoto's narrow chassis. Note the dual Lipo battery holders
17mm Hubs and aluminum shocks come standard on the Terremoto
If you have already have a Terremoto or you are thinking about getting one, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Please leave a comment below.
Stay tuned for more updates
Redcat posted a few action shots of the new Chimera EP Pro 1/5 Brushless Sand Rail recently. Check them out and let me know what you think.
The new "Catbox" exhaust cans are now in stock and shipping. Check them out on the Exhaust Page
I'm not sure if these are made by TGN - the maker of the original X-Can or not but the styling and quality appears to be virtually identical.
The Catbox Exhaust Can improves low end performance over a stock can style muffler through the use of a header style port and by helping to reduce cylinder head heat.
The Catbox Exhaust is CNC machined out of aluminum and includes all mounting hardware and gaskets.
Optional 3" and 6" extensions are also available to help route exhaust away from your vehicle
Jorge just emailed me this picture of his Rampage XT sporting a ProLine Desert Rat body, Desperado Wheels, Bow-tie tires and more. Looks awesome Jorge!
