I've found in the past that some of the stock coils are a little on the week side. These stock coils are really cheap but if you are having a hard time with yours, you may want to pick up a genuine HPI coil from Amazon.
Check your coil gap: After a hard roll, or knock the coil may have slipped resulting in a poor spark. Loosen the two screws that hold the coil in place, slide a business card between the coil and the flywheel, carefully adjust the coil so it ‘just’ grips the card, then tighten the screws and remove the card. The gap should ideally be around 0.3mm or roughly the thickness of a business card. The video below will show you how to set up your coil
Also, ensure that the woodruff key is correctly seated in the crank shaft slot – it may even be missing after a rebuild and will affect timing.
Check coil is in working order and the plug wire is intact and connected properly (particularly if changed for an aftermarket one). If possible borrow another coil to eliminate this as a possible cause or order a new one.

Additional tip:
- A spare coil and a couple of spark plugs are highly recommended items for your pit box
